bb: YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING MAN must be ownself write one, this is so stupid.

YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING MAN
why would i write something so freakish and weird.

and tagging my blog with such a stoopid brainless comment at 5:19pm, you must either be a loser or a bummer.

this is so nonsensical.

first i get an xxx then i get a bb, what next huh?
is there going to be a cccc or something?

waste my time replying to all these stoopid tags, and yet i cant resist taking a low swing at all these nonsensical anonymouses haa!

anyway i wanted to delete the tags from xxx and bb from my cbox just now. but shit man, i cant rem my cbox username and password arghhhh!!!!! so it's either i remove the entire cbox or i leave their freakish comments there. hmmmm.

cbox is seriously starting to be a draggggggg.

anyway i have many things to look forward to this loooooong long weekend! i cant wait!!!!!! =D

okay. usually i dont reply to tags left behind by people who refused to acknowledge their own names (duh!), whether good or bad.

but this.
must be the longest tag i've ever had in the 4 years that i have a blog.

xxx: you are one amazing girl. where do you get so much time and energy to do all these activities and still go out when you've already started work? and you're so happening! you're always going sentosa

20 Oct 08, 22:27
xxx: and clubbing and going out with friends. i'm always seeing all these photos on your blog. how did you do that. how can you be so sporty and so outdoors unlike those kind of typical girly girls that i

xxx: dislike... and at the same time be so hot and feminine. i've seen you dance in clubs before; wah lao damn hot. have seen you around school last time, you're always surrounded by people; like damn

xxx: popular. and your facebook profile says you're the nicest person around. no wonder my friends are always saying a lot of guys want to be your boyfriend. not stalking you, don't worry. you're just very

xxx: prominent and popular in nus. still are, i think, even though you start work already. see you around. good luck in your work, girl.

thanks for the nice words, xxx.
you make me sound like a saint. haha.

but i'm sorry to say this. it kinda freak me out because u seemed to be "seeing me" everywhere. seriously, are you stalking me or something!

but still, thanks for the nice words.
and ermm, i dont think "A LOT" of guys want to be my boyfriend. my close male frens will prob puke blood when they see that. haha.
no i'm kidding. bleahx.

as for why i always have so much time and energy to do all the things that i want to do...

"i would like to thank my company, for being such a strong advocate of work-life balance and implementing the best policy ever in history - work-fr-home days. I would like to thank my boss for being so funny and humorous and light-hearted, such that i dont feel any stress at all even though i'm so new at work. i would like to thank my colleagues for being so supportive and always treating me to lunch and really good food; and always accompanying me down for frequent (really freq) teabreaks when i whine that i'm too desk-bound.

i would also like to thank my parents for making me as playful as i am now, that i must constantly be doing something different.

lastly, i would like to thank lester and my frens for always allowing me to drag them everywhere to accompany me to do whatever i want to do."

there, you have it. =P

haha.

okay crap aside.

i'm supa delighted, because i found my favorite font of all times!

TAHOMA font size 10.

yes, it looks the best when it's font size 10. i made this little discovery today when i was bored at work. i'm going to use it for everything possible now. msn, emails, work emails, work communicator. everything! too bad blogger doesnt have this font.

it looks really nice.
it even sounds nice. i like the way it rolls off your tongue. ta-ho-ma.
sounds like some native indian tribe.
hee..

anyways, have you ever had really strong memories (like flashbacks of very specific scenes, or words that people have said to you) that were linked to a certain song? such that, everytime the song is played, those flashbacks come back to you, together with the emotions and feelings that were going through you at that time?

i have. many times.

today i heard "liu xing hua yuan" by F4.
and flashbacks fr then just kept coming back to me.
i remembered the 4-hour phone call we had.
i remembered coming out from the chalet, and sitting outside all quiet and peaceful, only with your voice by my side.
and then, the room next door started playing this song, and it was on repeat mode for the entire 4 hours.
i could remember every single emotion that was running through me at that time; and i could remember every single heart beat drumming through my chest as i listened to your voice.

how saccharin-sweet it is, that feeling of infatuation.
except i dun think it's infatuation. only.
but that is 8 years ago. it totally felt like yesterday, when i was listening to the song.
and what happened to us? we barely talked now.

i know i've said this many a times. but i'm going to say it again. i don't lose friendships, which is why i've always believed in friends forever, as stoopid and childish as it sounds. but i do believe in it. but those few times when i lose friendships (with a guy, that is), it's always this way. and i hate it.

.

okay. enough of the emo-ness.
i just came back from a jog, and beside that little small hiccup, i'm feeling really good.

and i love my job! supadupawupa love it.
praying really hard, that this feeling is here to stay, and not just some temporary passe.

tomorrow!!!! my colleagues are celebrating my birthday! in advance! how niceee..
i hope the cake tastes goooood! hahah... =D

Saturday, 18th Oct 2008

haven't been blogging much lately. my days and nights are just occupied with work and meeting up with frens and boyfren and family...

today i had an exceptional Sunday, ALL to myself.
yes, no tuitions! i've passed on my last tuition student to a fren, and now officially, i'm tuition-less.
gosh, 5 freaking years of teaching tuition. enough is enough.

not that i HATE tuition-ing. but sometimes, it's just a drag.

anyway, all these aside.

me and les went for the treetop walk yesterday!!!!!
started off at blazing hot 2pm; because he insisted walking in the afternoon is okay, even though i kept trying to tell him how much cooler mornings will be... -_-'''

and so we started off at Venus Drive carpark off Thomson Road into the MacRitchie trails.

we took the "moderate" trail which is about 7km. i wanted the 12km, but he refused to do that. bleahx. someone pls jio me, if you wanna do the 12km onez. =P

and so at the start of the trail...

it was really nice. i mean, it looks so peaceful and green and the entire place smells of nature.
you know that damp wet leaves kinda smell? the tree trunks smell? yea, that smell. i love it.

we look so funny here haha...
and i was carrying a sling bag because i came from work the night before and stayed over at his place. so poor les insisted on stuffing my sling bag into his yellow backpack and carrying it for me.

haha so now he looks like a turtle, with tat bag riding so high up on his back.

wheee! first jumpshot!

and walking in...

i was so scared some bee will sting my nose when i bent towards the flowers to pose for that photo haha...

and ta-da! HSBC treetop walk!

there wasnt much flora to be seen around. it's basically just lotsa trees and grasses and bushes; but once in awhile you see some weird stuff around.

this is one of them - the humongous-est leaf ever

doesnt it remind u of the zhu ba jie's leaf in "journey to the west"? haha...

and some random shots on our way in...

the really nice structures overhead :: lester the trekker

and these flowers were really nice

except for the colony of red ants infesting it. lester kept saying how disgusting it is; but really, it shows how sweet the flower is.

and finally we reached the first real signboard!

2.4km down; 1.4km to go! :: us =)

lucky for us, it didnt rain the night before, so basically the trail was really easy. no muddy or slippery trail.

after another 1.4km, we reached the ranger station. i was damn happy when i saw it from afar, because i was starting to hallucinate 100plus. and i tot, thank god, there'll be a vending machine there.

but pathetically, there was only a water cooler -_-'''

i was bored while waiting for les to fill the water bottle...

see the guy behind me? that's one of the people working at the ranger station.

then from the ranger station, there's this path that leads to the entrance of the treetop walk.

isnt it nice?!?!?

les told me to pose my butterfly tattoo with that butterfly on the ground. but i was too lazy to bend down. and it'll look so small next to it!

we saw this reptile-like thingy in the bushes. looked kinda like komodo dragon. but i'm not very sure. because it was scurrying around. and we were like, tiptoeing around it to not scare it and get the best photo.

can you see it? its body is really long...

den we reach this long flight of stairs...

looking at this just makes you want to sit where you are and not move haha...

then we finally reached the treetop walk!

after 4 years since the opening, we finally managed to come for it. haha...
anyway just some info abt the treetop walk:
it's one-way.
it only allows 30ppl on it at one time.
it closes at 5pm.

at the entrance of the treetop walk, we saw this monkey perched on the railings.
but it's really cute, the moment it saw us hesitating at the entrance (or maybe it saw the fear on my face haha), it jumped off the railing to the nearest tree. it's like, giving way to us or something.

so damn adorable lar!

i think it's female, coz it cant stop staring at lester (and glaring at me hahaha)

les embarking on the treetop walk

and some photos of the view we got there...

basically you cant see anything but trees trees and more trees haha...
but it's really nice, coz it's supa high and cooling up there.

i think i shd stop scrunching my face up in photos

my colleagues once saw that and seriously told me that it'll give me wrinkles faster. -_-'''

we were lucky that we're the only ones on the bridge...

so we can do stoopid things like this...

les said i look like monkey in the bottom right photo, and he cant stop laughing at it. -_-'''
how nice, this boyfren of mine.
haha...

and argh, another flight of stairs.

i actually find going up easier and less tedious than going down.

kiss of conquer after coming down that flight of stairs haha

some random photos on our way out...

i think wells always look damn eerie to me :: singapore durian trees!

and so it's another 4km out to where we started from.

as blurred as they are, i think these photos are damn nice la... haha...

and so we started at 2pm, and finished 7km at 4pm.
that's pretty fast, i'll say!

and wat a nice way to celebrate our anniversary haha...

HAPPY 39TH MONTHSARY BABY!!!!!!

muaksss!

let's do the 12km onez on our 40th anniversay.
muahahha...

went to his hse to shower coz we were damn greasy and oily and sweaty and smelly. eeeuch.
he then drove us to this indo restaurant in centrepoint to celebrate his mom's bdae.

come to think of it, i've never eaten proper indo food before. it tastes kinda like chinese food actually.

we went to the arcade after that! there's this young punk there whom we've seen in the 3 times we've been there.
he's always dancing DDR and it's always in an outrageous and exaggerated mode. omg, i cant even begin to describe. maybe i'll take a video the next time i'm there. you'll be amazed and amused.

this is long long gone. but like i said, i've been too busy to blog haha.
and sorry for the hiatus, i'll upload these photos on facebook! soon! hee...

anyway went out with cai lin, siyong and the rest of the engin gang to timbre at clarke quay.

it's so much cleaner than the one at substation, and look more high-class somehow. i think it has something to do with the decor, and the fact that it's located at clarke quay.
but still. i like the one at substation more. haha it seemed more youthful to me, and louder and noisier and i like that.

doesnt the lightings remind you of christmas?

us and tons of beer.

and the gers =)

zhi yi, cai lin and me

i love that red top! luckily i bought it, despite lester's naggings that i've been spending too much when i was in the store haha.

me and the boy

and all of us...

junxing, huahui, cai lin, kev, ah yong, me and les

did i mentioned that i went drinking with my colleagues last week and the 10 of us spend a total of $700 on drinks?!

ya we did.

i've never spend so much on drinks before but it was soooooooo freaking and crazily fun!
we went to loft and basically went crazy there haha.

i think we were the noisiest lot there and everyone was staring especially when the diversity in the group is so wide. hmmm let's see:

1 singaporean (i.e. me)
1 malaysian
1 german
1 french
1 korean
3 filipinos
2 indians

ya it was soooo fun! i was talking to my german fren abt my euro trip (hopefully) next year, and she got me allllll excited abt it. she cant stop raving abt all the places in europe. i wanna go NOW NOW NOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWw!!!!!

so fun. we're having a poker game next week at one of their places. whee!

.
.
.

anyway, some random lemmings from long ago.

desserts at the neBo cafe at AMK Hub with les:

choc cookie galore :: he cant get enuff of sweet stuff (wahhaha)

and this was last friday at pepper lunch.
as u can see, i was bored, which is why i'm taking nonsensical boring photos haha.

his pondering looks haha

pls PLSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS dont change your hairstyle when you start work!
he kept telling me he's going to cut his hair supa short and dye it black when he worked.
dont do thatttt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i love his hair la. it's so boyish-looking haha.

anywya there was one day when i went out with him to causeway point, and then because my wallet had no money at all, i wanted to go citibank to draw money.

and this is what i saw.

sorry, no offence. i know this is going to sound super discriminating.
but HUH?!?!?! citibank and this!?!?

no seriously. don't pretend that thought didnt go through your mind. i know what all of you are thinking.

i'm equally bewildered, and so is les. haha. the first thing i asked him after i saw this is:

"do you even have a citibank account?"

and he so sadly replied:
"no, i only got DBS"

hahahha...
