10th May 07 - At the Airport

I've been procrastinating blogging, coz there's hell lot of photos, and for the past 4 days, we've been out from 9am all the way to 12am... 9am is damn early to be awake can, i'm a night owl, i need to wake aft 12pm haha...


not exactly what i imagine it to be like, but close!!!! we live in this little cosy town area in Richmond, so we dun exactly experience the hustle and bustle of USA life like what everyone see on TV. But we'll be moving to the city area soon (in late May), and touring to all the big cities in Aug, so I'm not disappointed, juz having something more to look forward to!

This little town is superb tho, it's very relaxing here, I think living here for a few weeks would have stripped me totally of all the stress i ever experienced for the past few years in uni.

Weather is more than perfect, very similar to Taipei's. There's Sun and it's real windy here, not exactly below 20degrees like wat everyone says, but the air is cold and dry enough to crack my lips. =(

Anyway, 9th May was the beginning of a long journey, literally.




I'm glad they were there to sent me off, tho i'll only be gone for 3 months. I actually felt abit she bu de when I entered, and could only look at them through that hugeass piece of glass pane between us. And waving to them till they disappear from my sight was kinda heartbreaking.

3 months is not long, but not exactly short either. oh wells.

And finally, after months of waiting, weeks of intense paperwork, days of buying the necessities and planning the itinery, and the last minutes of packing and biding loved ones goodbyes, we're finally on the plane!!!!!


It was a damnnnnn freakingggggggggggggggggggggg long trip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

longer than all the plane trips i ever taken since young added up. seriously! I'm not kidding.
We're supposed to take 22 hours to arrive in Richmond, Virginia.

Spore >> Taipei - 4hrs
Transiting at Taipei - 3hrs
Taipei >> Los Angeles - 12hrs
Transiting at Los Angeles - 4hrs
Los Angeles >> Atlanta - 4hrs
Transiting at Atlanta - 1hr
Atlanta >> Richmond - 1.5hr

But somehow, I dunno why, mebbe coz of the different time zones. We left singapore on 9th may at 2pm singapore time, and reach richmond on 10th may at 11pm singapore times.

That's like 33 hours, almost half a day. I swear my butt was complaining when I got off the plane. Good thing abt long plane rides was I managed to finish 3 full movies. waahahhaha...
