today's work was the best!!!!!!
Easiest money I've ever made, or we've ever made!!!!!

The waterpark in King's Dominion had 2 new rides, so what all of us did today was to go to the park from 9am to 5pm to try out the new ride!!!!!!!!!

It's called "Tornado" and it's superbly superb!!!!!!!!
S.U.P.E.R.B.

really, it was beyond shiok! and seriously the easiest money i've ever made. we made a total of US$58, which is $90 singapore dollars.
others pay to use the ride, we're paid to take the rides, how shiok is tat!

and tml, we're trying another new ride! wahahhaha i loveeeeeeee loveeeeeee my job!
and the supervisors are really nice, and fun loving... we actually played tons of orientation games tgt... =)

and surprisingly, under the freezing weather, and cold wind, i'm actually sunburnt. -_-'''
i dunno how tat happened, coz all i rem was shivering in the cold.
anyway, a delayed post! i'm sorry, supa busy, and aft making dinner everyday, i juz feel like nua-ing my nite away haha...

11th May 07 - Williamsburg

getting a mini-van was the best!!!
we're able to travel to many places with utmost convenience, and it's really nice to have a spacious van for all 8 of us, playing guitar and singing in the van while going places.

minus the fact that we've to wait for the guys when they enter comic shops and spend hell lot of time inside (to be fair, the 2 of us spend hell lot of time shopping too haha), it's really great to have 6 guys travelling with u, coz 4 of them are drivers! yaaays! =)

girl on car

The van cost us only USD$250 for 3 days 8 ppl in total, which means only US$50 per person for 3 days. tat's really cheap, coz we got tons of discount, and the 3rd day of rental was free.
i dunno how les got this price, but it was a really good price. mebbe he flirted with the ang moh or something haha... kidding lar...

fu, jing, chang and me :: yew lee and me
i'm the driver!!! :: the backseat-ers
the gers :: les and me

some of those who made the roadtrips possible

our driver

the roadtrips were shiok shiok shiok!!!!!! seriously. i wanna do it again! =)

Anyway the main purpose of us getting the minivan was to make a trip down to williamsburg which is about 2 hrs plus away.

Williamsburg is this really cool stretch with many interesting shops, like the Candy Factory, the Dollhouse, the Music Factory etc... it was really nice...

i think one thing i really like abt the US is the fact that their shopping malls are built horizontally and not vertically, it makes the whole town looked more cosy and relaxing. A big change from the concrete skyscrapers (including the HDB hubs) we see back home.

Oh! and williamsburg has this boardwalk of factory outlets, freaking cheap can!
so these are some stuff we saw on our way from hotel to Williamsburg...

we reached Williamsburg Outlet Mall, thinking it's the factory outlets. But it turned out to be this really small shopping mall. We juz took a short walk in, and behaving like typical tourists, took plenty of photos...

Williamsburg Outlet Mall :: Chang, Fu, Lijing, Me, Michael, Les, ChieHui

preparing to jump :: hippity hop (i think i looked crazed)

we entered this shop with tons of signboards with witty and amusing taglines on them. I kinda regretted not buying them, coz they're really nice. You'll nvr see such stuff in Spore. But it was really ex, abt US$15 if I'm not wrong.

lester is acting stoopid again... haha... his photos always cracked me up. apparently he finds great delight in taking amusing photos haha...

les bought the "Beware of Attack Tennis Player" after a little persuasion on my part. cool ritez?!?!? he was thinking btw the tennis player and musician. And I wanted to buy "Beware of Attach Engineer", but it sounds kinda cock to hang that in the room, not as if i love my course that much anyway haha...

in front of the ice-cream parlor

and look at this!!!! mini candy vending machines!!!!!!!!!!
interesting huh?!
We saw this machine with hugeass bubblegum candies inside and has this huge sign US$1.50 on the machine. We naively tot that many of those will drop out when we put in US$1.50, so yongfu tried and we ended up with only ONE bubblegum candy... -_-'''

the other fruit candies that we bought

and then, it was on to the real Factory outlets at Williamsburg.
We were damn high (we, namely me and lijing haha). Every single branded shop that we spotted sent us in hysterics.

I dun usually care about brands, coz i always tot it's a waste of money. All the crap about "every cent being worth when buying branded goods" are rubbish. BUt!!!!

BUT BUT BUT!!!! the things there are dirt-cheap okay!
seriously, Coach, Guess, Calvin Klein etc... every single branded brand u can think of is selling at such low prices, you juz can't resist.

i love this place. it's wide and spacious, and everyone's juz walking ard like it's a lazy Sunday afternoon.
the weather was perfect too.

Think spending minimal amt of money of brands and carrying those numerous bags, walking on this boardwalk with the wind blowing in your head. Me and lijing were over the moon, haha...

yepz! US$2.99 (S$4.50) for Calvin Klein.
you didn't see wrongly! =)

and my buys for the day!

GAP tank top :: CK glittery new york t-shirt (to be worn in new york!)
GAP white-washed jeans :: GUESS handbag

i think no one will believe me if i said i spend only abt US$50 on everything above. but i did. =)
and that day when we went grocery-shopping, which left us in disbelief over the prices of fruits and veggies in the US, we figured out it's more worth it to buy branded goods in US den to EAT.

becoz 2 apples here cost US1.60. so buying 20 apples can actually get you a CK t-shirt.

this entry is horrendous, i sound so bimbotic.
can't help it *shrugs* shopping gets to me, as it does to many other gers hahah...

and this! is exactly what we see of the road when we're trying to make our way back to the hotel at 11plus pm.
