18th May 07 - BRAVES game


somehow, we got really close to the receptionist, Deborah, at Quality Inn, esp Les. Everyday they nvr fail to chat with each other. she's this really really nice and friendly woman in her forties, i think one of the nicest person i've met so far since i stepped onto USA soil.

Anyway she got us 8 free tickets to the BRAVES game, which is the Richmond baseball team.




the stadium is only abt 15 mins away from our hotel, which is good, coz cab fare here is crazy. they jump by 40c (in US currency) and they charge a dollar for each extra person on the cab.




this is wat u get when u try to gei kiang by wearing shorts and flipflops, instead of jeans and shoes. tat's me, squatting there by the way. ya, i noe, we're a pathetic sight. u can't imagine how cold it was, i was chattering so much i couldnt speak at all.





basically, there wasnt much ppl at the stadium, but atmosphere there was still good coz there're cheering and stuff. and they'll occasionally play some really hip pop music during intervals. the game was abit slow for my likin tho.







there were very few homeruns tho, only abt 5 in total i think.
