29th July 2007 - Los Angeles Day 2


today is Disneyland Day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! me and ching got up feeling superbly excited, coz this is one of the attractions we've been looking forward to since we step onto LA.

we kinda overslept tho... haha... forgot what we were doin the previous nite, surfing net i think. but it was really nice to come down to a nice warm homemade breakfast by the guys!




we went to the i forgot-wat-it's-called building to collect our tickets. we paid abt USD80 for each ticket i think. cant rem. a tad too ex, but it's totally worth it. i dun even think i'll be goin back there for a 2nd time... =(




the payment for the tickets included a free shuttle bus that dropped us rite at the entrance of Disneyland. it's exactly how it looks like on TV!!!! and there was this really cute tram tat took us from the carpark all the way in.




we were greeted by a row of really funky-lookin souvenir shops near the entrance of disneyland. which made me (and the rest) really tempted to juz dash in and buy souvenirs. but time was tight. the map was damn huge and we onli had one day!




no words can describe how i feel when i enter disneyland, and see all the smiling (laughing) faces around me. it's like a childhood dream come true.

we were lucky enuff to catch the mickey performance, which i tot was a great start to the "Happiest Place on Earth". it was the happiest place, indeed.




Pinocchio is soooooo cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i felt like pulling onto his nose all the time he was prancing ard there haha...

den we came to this area with lotsa teeny-weeny bronze sculptures of disney characters. they were uber adorable can!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! trust me, you definitely haf to fight back the urge to not pluck them out from those stands they were glued onto. not tat i've enuff strength to do tat tho. haha...

isnt the castle supa magical? like i say, it looks exactly like wat u always see in TV and in books. i think me and ching were much more excited abt it den the guys tho haha...






the first ride we took there was "A Small World After All". by the way, all their rides are not the bumpy, heart-stopping, stomach-churning kind... they're all peaceful slow smooth rides that only served to bring you into a castle and allow you to see all the animations or shows inside... it's supa cool!

"A Small World After All" is one of my favourites... even from far you can see tat humongous magnificent white castle, with loud tick-tocking of the clock... damn cool!




what we saw inside the castle took our breath away. none of us have been to disneyland before, so we didnt noe wat to expect. imagine our amazement when we saw all the colourful animation and carefully sculpted characters doing dances, hopping around, flying around on magic carpets and watnots! and they kept playing the "It's a Small World After All" song over and over all.

how can anyone hate this place! it's superb, it makes u forget there's a real world outside there for you to conquer.

as much as the boat ride was kinda slow, it was still abit hard for us to capture the animations esp when they're moving... so some photos are kinda blurred...




2nd ride was the Pinocchio ride!




isnt tat cricket cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wahahah...

next ride up, the Peter Pan ride! i kinda pulled and dragged them to this ride, coz i wanted to see TinkieBell!

wat! 21 yr old ger cannot want to see TinkieBell mehz? she's like the cutest, prettiest, most temperamental fairy... haha...






every single thing in tat place was photographable, yes, including the toilets... haha...




den we came upon this performance stage which had performances every 3 hrs or so... isnt the background and settin nice?




we didnt catch the show tho... next ride, snow white!








the first thing we saw on this island was the tarzan's treehouse, where you had to climb all the way up to enter his hse and see all the things inside...




very fun onez okay! like playground liddat haha...

it was impressive how every single character in Disneyland, and every single detail as small as a pen on a piece of paper are crafted and sculpted to perfection, and they all look so real! it's like taken right off the animation show.

dropped by Aladdin's for awhile...




nothing spectacular here... we didnt enter coz the queue was bloody bloody long!


the moment we stepped onto new orleans square, we headed straight for the "Haunted House" which we've heard was one of the best.




truthfully speaking, it was really good... much better than the one at King's Dominion tho... hahah... when we first entered the house, they had posters of chucky and watnots pasted all over the place, and videos of ghost stories to pep up the atmosphere... not that it helped lar, it was kinda noisy inside haha...

anyway it's mainly like a fright nite walk thru the house, with ppl scarin you, chasing aft you, pulling on u etc... supa fun!!!!! imagine if work and travel have jobs offered here, fantastic lar!

went into the art gallery next to it... where they had paintings of disney characters on sale... damn expensive... they're like hundreds of dollars or even thousands... in USD somemore... muz be a really hardcore one to want to spend on these...




there were oso figurines on sale, which cost even more...




took the "Pirates of the Caribbean" ride next. i had to take it, coz i love the movie to bits!




i have no idea why my hair is in such a disarray... if i didnt rem wrongly, i think there was a few drops here and there on the ride...

we saw this island afar, which was supposed to be some kind of a pirates island...






to get to the island fr the main land, we had to take this platform-like ship with operators dressed up as pirates mending it...




the things on the island was uber cool can!!!!!





den there was this cave like thing which had really small holes for us to climb and crawl thru... it was supa fun ok!!!! there was alot of entrances and exits and all of us came out fr diff exits... haha...

i saw this ang moh dad trying desperately to chase aft his little boy in the cave... it was freaking hilarious coz he's so big-sized he nearly got stuck...







the most BORING place in Disneyland! well, at least relative to the other places... altho, to give them credit, they have some really interesting and cool stuff like facewarp... where u allow the camera to take a photo of you, and they'll ask u ques like whether u smoke, whether u haf any illnesses currently etc... and den! they'll facewarp and produce a photo of u when u're old...

haha... it is damn freaking ugly okayyyyyyyyyy!




very scientific place. the last thing i wanna see on a holiday is something with relation to wat i'm studying -_-


toontown is basically ALL abt mickey and minnie and pluto and goofy etc...
superb place!!!

i think the guys love it too, coz they've got so many quirky and fun things to do there...




this place seriously makes me happy... =))

oh!!!! and one of the prettiest place in toontown... Minnie's house!!!!!!!

tat's her kitchen on the right... damn fun! the fridge can be opened, the stove knobs can be turned... which is exactly wat tat little girl is doin there... haha...






we were kinda reluctant to leave tat place, coz it's seriously very pweeeetyyyy!!!!!! it's like polly pocket magnified haha...




there was lotsa things to be explored in toontown...




and this is damn funny! i have the honour of being the photographer while they do the stoopid deeds haha...

first, let's look at what Goofy Water is serving...




hmmm.. so we've whacky water, screaming water, zippy water and so on... and now we see, 2 guys sipping Goofy Water happily, and seemingly on an overdose too!




so hilarious! trust them to come up with something liddat... ahaha... cracked me up...




after minnie's house, we've got to visit her boyfren, Mickey's house! haha... which was humongous... he has like a barn, and a yard, and watnots...






and den, we ransacked his fridge and his washing machine!!! haha...




walking round to the back of the house, we see the courtyard where apparently Goofy seemed to stay...




and den there was Pluto's kennel...




last house of the day to visit, was Chip and Dale's!!!




and some of the random buildings we saw in toontown...





nothing much here too... basically juz a cowboy kinda place... there was a little mini farm at a corner with real animals... but i was too lazy to take photos of them... haha...




a packet of fries cost USD3... i would rather die of hunger.

ToyStory! i think i kinda ran out of memory on my camera here, and i was tryin to save the remaining ones for Pooh and Piglet later on... haha....








this place is A.W.E.S.O.M.E.
i love pooh bear and piglet and tigger and eeyore... they're all so cute!!!!!!!
they're like my favourite soft toys to own... haha...




we retook tat jumping shot on the top left hand corner like 6 or 7 times, and the guy standin at the entrance of the ride was damn amused...
many a times, i caught him sniggering... haha... he must be thinkin "stoopid asians"... haha

anyway Critter County was our last stop for the day, we spent the next one and a half hr split up and dashing into souvenir shops, buying watever stuff we want, den dashing to chop a seat right in front of the Fantasy Land castle, coz there's gonna be supa nice fireworks!!!!!!!!!!!!!






they're so good can.
they're those kinda fireworks that leave you smiling even aft it has ended...

and there was a story to go with the fireworks too... dun ask me how it goes... they juz manage to do it...

AND!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they had tinkie bell fly around and around the castle! it was supa nice!!!!!!! she's like this glowing greenish tiny thing there...

i love this place. i really do.
they were rite when they said it's the "Happiest Place in the World". it sure is.
you come out from it, with seemingly no worries.

somehow when u're inside, all the terrorists bombings, all the mass shootings, all the ugly things and ugly ppl (not literally duh!) juz cease to exist in this world.

somehow, wat's left inside are only positive emotions and ppl (regardless of age) revealing tat innocent kind human nature of theirs all over again.

and it made me wonder... what happened to that? wat happened to "human nature is kind"?
in this now-turned-ugly world, i think we've got alot to learn fr the little children.

so anyways, aft this trip to disneyland. my childhood is now complete. =)
