Day 1

i was so damn excited the day before the bintan trip coz i haven really been to bintan before... well once when i was really young but tat doesnt really count coz i cant rem the trip at all... haha...

so it was early morning meeting lionel and tat hsien at the tanah merah ferry terminal... we packed snacks in too juz in case hee...

bought a total of 3 bottles of alcohol fr the ferry terminal...




the waters were kinda rough so the ferry was damn shaky throughout... luckily i was warned of it beforehand so i ate my motion sickness medicine, otherwise i'll definitely be puking throughout the whole entire 45mins of the ferry ride... hee...

when we reached Bintan, it was kinda disappointing coz it was drizzling, and i nvr tot i could hate the rain as much as i did then! anyway we took the ferry transfer fr the ferry terminal to our hotel resort - NIRWANA GARDENS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the hotel resort was really nice, i muz say!!! the road leading to the hotel resort was paved with flowers and shrubs, and had a really resorty feeling to it.




we were one of the last to check in coz there was this humongous Indian family before us who took damn freaking long to settle the admin stuff...

we initially booked Superior rooms, which are the cheapest kind of rooms there... but by the time it was our time to check in, there was no more superior rooms left...

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

they upgraded us to the DELUXE rooms, with no additional charge!!!!!!! YAYSSSSSSs!!!!!!!!! all thanks to the humongous Indian family before us, coz i'm sure they took all the superior rooms available haha...

so it really does pay to be kind and give way... =)




i love the checking in part... coz this is the part when u go wow-wowy over the nice view ur room looks over, the nice comfy beds tat u have, the diff numerous channels u haf on TV, the creative way they fold the napkins in the bathroom etc etc...

i do sound like it's my first time overseas huh... hee...






they didnt haf any more king-sized beds, so they gave all of us 2 single beds instead... and i suspect there was something wrong with their air-con coz it remains cold even when we switched it off... haha... otherwise, the room is near perfection!

by the time we settled in, it was already evening and still kinda drizzling... so we went for the "60mins traditional Indonesian massage cum Sunset Couple Romantic dinner set"... sounds good eh?!??! =)

we took the free private shuttle they offered to the massage place...




it looks kinda sleazy ritez??? hahaha... becoz it's a couple package, there were 2 beds in each area, with a curtain separating each couple fr another... so u've to strip naked and lie there until the masseurs enter the room...

it was so awkward k!!! gosh, and i was so scared someone from outside will peep in... -_-'''

anyway! the massage was good!!!!! oily tho... haha... they smear like tons of oil on my entire body... and i bet the masseur muz be shaking her head when she massage my body, coz my muscles are all damn stiff... she cracked my neck muscles and my body muscles, and it felt so damn goood!!!!!!!!! almost orgasmic... wahhahaa...

the person den brought us to the restaurant where we'll haf our sunset couple romantic dinner set...

for the dinner set, we were allowed to choose an appetizer, a salad, a soup, a steak set, a drink and a fruit platter... it was damn worth it and damn shiokssss!!!

esp when we were all damn hungry aft the massage, i think it has somethin to do with the masseur pressing and pushing and rubbing my tummy hee...




by the time we reached back the hotel, it was already kinda late, so we took a walk around the hotel since we hadnt really explored the place yet... and the lightings of the whole hotel at nite was damn alluring and glittery and bright, and u cant help but get tempted by them!




me and les den walked to the beach aft tat... it wasnt hard to find the beach coz u could hear the waves splashing fr far and it was onli a stone's throw away fr the hotel...

i love the beach at nite (yes! as much as i love it under the blazing hot sun hee...)... it's cool and breezy and quiet at nite... all u could feel is the soft cooling sand under ur feet... all u could hear is the soft splashing of the waves against the shore... it's all so romantic... =)

AND!!! we found a hammock!




if it wasnt becoz the slow oscillation of the hammock was making me giddy, i wouldnt haf wanted to get off it... haha...




the beach is seriously a very nice place to be at with the person you love! heeee... =P




aint the tall palm trees nice?!?!?! everytime i see the tall palm trees i'm reminded of the tall palm trees in Beverly Hills...

and jumping shots in the nite!




it's so dark u cant really see the ground haha... but it was so fun... =)

we went indoors aft tat and saw the infamous humongous life-sized chinese chess and snakes and ladders board games...




looking at them play looked really fun, so we decided to haf a shot at it too!!!




the game made us damn tired, coz everytime we wanna make a move, we've to drag that huge chess piece across the board... haha...

wahahhaa... who said gers cant play chess huh?!?!!??! chinese chess somemore can! my mom's gonna be proud of me whahaha... oh she's damn good at chinese chess by the way...

late at nite, we all gathered in tat hsien's room for a round of drinks and a few episodes of "Friends"!!! hee...


Day 2

to wake up to a nice refreshing sunny morning, is damn invigorating!!!!! i went down to breakfast feeling damn hyped up, and oso coz in the hotel u're entitled to free buffet breakfast every morning... and the buffet food is seriously qt good...






becoz the weather wasnt too bad, we changed into our beach wear almost immediately aft breakfast and headed down to the Beach Club where all the sea sports were...




we did jetski and boogie board!!!!! we were hesitating when we were deciding whether to play jetski coz it costs S$22.50 per person to play jetski and the others tot it was too ex... luckily i convince them to do it!!!!!!! coz it was so worth it can!!!!!!!!!!!!! price will nvr stand in the way btw me and fun! wahahha...




jetski was damn fun lar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! les was driving, and i was clinging onto him from the back for life coz the stoopid guy keep accelerating!!!! which was damn thrilling and fun! except when he accelerate and turn at the same time, it totally felt like i was goin to be thrown off the jetski haha...

but everytime we accelerate over the rough waves, you could feel urself riding at the top of the waves and den down again, it totally feel like roller coaster in the waters!!!!


den we did boogie boarding too!!!!! wah lao, ever since i came back fr USA, i've been missing boogie boarding like crazy... it's like this craving u haf tat u noe can nvr be fulfilled! to think i actually saw those boogie boards again in bintan!

the waves were so huge when u body surf on them u feel urself at the crest of the wave which den washed u all the way to the shore... WIPED OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!! shiok shiok SHIOK!!!!




les wanted to buy boogie boards back to spore onez, coz they're really cheap but bintan doesnt sell them oh wells... it'll be really cool to own one =)

boogie boarding for those few hrs left me all sore and muscle-achy and tired but satisfied!

aft getting so much salt fr the seawater, we headed for the hotel pool for a nice warm (well the waters in the pool is definitely warmer den those in the sea) soak and for their mini jacuzzis in the pool!




all aching and hungry and washed up, we headed towards Pasar Oleh Oleh (or POO for short) which is apparently the best largest shopping area nearest to Nirwana Gardens for some shopping and dinner...




Pasar Oleh Oleh is OK lar... shopping was kinda shabby... the clothes there arent exactly of high quality and their designs are those that i'll nvr pay more den S$10 for... well, i kinda expected the shopping to be liddat, but wat i didnt expect is the price for the clothes!!!

they cost like S$30 each!!!! it's like they're out to suck the sporeans of their money! S$30 for tat kinda clothes? i'll rather buy m)phosis clothes!!!! which i'm gonna tml, coz my aunt is bringin me out for shopping!!! wahahha...

we settled for dinner at this restaurant, which erm i cant rem what it's called... but basically the food there is like zhi cha in singapore...

we had food like black pepper crabs, prawns, sweet and sour fish, vegetables etc etc... for onli S$15 each... =)




if there was one thing tat bintan managed to impress and wow us with, it would be their great service... seriously i'm so impressed.

the ppl there, whether it's at the restaurants, or the shops, or some shabby cafes, or the hotel resort, they're always smiling!!!!!!!!!!!!! they're always willing to listen to ur requests/demands and they always seemed to try all they can to fulfill them...

the best thing is their smiles! even when u refuse to buy their stuff and u leave the shop empty-handed, they still smile as widely at u as they do when u first enter the shops...

tat's wat i call customer service! at the restaurant, when they saw us swatting away flies, they immediately brought a candle to us coz apparently the heat and light will chase flies away. when they saw us scratching our legs coz of mosquito bites, they immediately bring insect repellent to us. we were so impressed we all tipped the waiter... and i didnt even tip in USA even tho it's kinda compulsory there...





Day 3

this was the best day of all, coz the sun was blazing hot!!! yes, blazing hot!!!! immediately aft our buffet breakfast, we changed into beach wear and headed down to the Beach Club again!!!!




i was soooooo happy can!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the sun, is exactly what we need when doing sea sports! hee...




coz we didnt take photo with the jetski the day before, we were too engrossed in playing lar tat's why haha... so we requested to take a photo with tat humongous motor jetski, which the person was more den willing to oblige... so we clumbered up to the jetski again... hee...

we actually spent our 2 yr and 5 months anniversary in bintan... this muz be the most expensive anniversary we've ever spent hahaha... but it was good, to say the least!




den we started playing around with our own shadows hahaha... fun lehz...




we have our differences to be smoothen out...
and obstacles to be overcome...
and issues to be resolved...

but 29 months with you have taught me tat nothing can be more important den trust, faith and love all meshed up in a relationship. each time i tot it was an ultimate low, u held my hands and looked into my eyes and did everything you could to bring it up to a high again. each time there were too many issues to be resolved, you reminded me of the good times and how much you want to be with me.

the amount of faith and confidence you have in us and our relationship amazes me. the amount of love you have for me touches me. i have never been more sure den anything den you.

and this. is my gift to you for our 29th anniversary, and counting...




the 3rd day came too fast too quick... i was having too much fun, despite the short period of time we spent in Bintan... the whole holiday was almost perfect...

before we boarded the ferry back, we found this factory outlet that was totally superb!!!!!!!!
the stuff there are branded and damn cheap... coz they're made in Indonesia, plus it's a factory outlet aft all!!!

i bought 2 hollister tops at S$6 each, and les bought this ripcurl tshirt tat he saw in spore previously for S$6 and a branded checkered berms at S$10 i think... great grabs!!! and they're all authentic!!!! hee...






i love beach holidays!!!! and a huge part of the reason is you... =)
