and i blame it all on my camera, becoz it saves the photos as such large files tat everytime i need to upload them on the blog, i've to resize every single one...

which. is. such. a. chore.

so lesson learnt, i'm saving my photos as smaller files fr now on...

anyway, i've been playing hell lot since i come back fr USA... be it the few months leading up to the exam period, or the exam period itself, or after the exam period aka NOW. which i dunno if it's good or bad... playing so much is an indication tat at least i have a LIFE outside the sucky chem engin modules... but it oso means tat i prob will haf alot of trouble adapting to boring working life... =(

and i'm starting to dread boxing day, becoz tat's the day my results are coming out... gosh *cross fingers*

our first outing after we reached back spore, with a little allowance in btw to adapt to our old sporean routine lifestyle, was to celebrate LAM YEW LEE's bdae!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hee... it's easy to rem his birth date, becoz it always marks the start of sch... and becoz we haven seen dearest jun for so long, we held his bdae celebration at her hse. kill 2 birds with one stone haha...

her hse has an ATTIC, for goodness sake... mebbe all private houses come with an attic, i've no idea... sorry lar, i sua gu can... i've been living in HDB all my life haha...




sidenote: the cake is damn freaking nice!




it was a nite of fun, laughter, gossips, bitchings, games... which ended with all of us dead tired on her attic floor and her bedroom floor haha...

oh digressing alittle, "Hey! Gorgeous" at NUS campus... i very kaypoh abt such stuff onez, so i dragged les to watch it at the forum with me... haha...

i shall not comment on the NUS contestants, otherwise some nosey parkers will prob tag my blog with things like "you so good, you go join LARRRRRRRRRRRRRRR" or watnots... hahah...

BUT. i'm sure most ppl will agree with me tat they're not the best in the competition.

kiteflying at marina!!! something les keep sayin he wanted to do, but we didnt really get down to doing it... so here we finally are! all ready to buy a kite and propel it into the sky hee...




there's this very nostalgic feeling abt standing there and looking at families around me bringing their kids to fly kites... it sorta triggered some blurry memories i seemed to have at marina with my family and cousins too...




one of the cheapest we could get... and it's soooooooooooo cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

mooncake festival was celebrated with a nice sumptuous bbq at east coast park with the rolex peeps... i love bbqs!!!!! esp aft i master the art of setting up a fire hahaha...






i didnt take photos of the food coz they were so good i juz wanted to sit there and eat them up wahahha...

but anyway, we had prawns with sambal chilli, marinated chicken fillets with black pepper sauce, fish with sambal chilli, seafood, bbq-ed bananas with chocolate sauce etc etc... the food was sooooo good can!!!

we shd haf another one soooon!!!!

the nite was damn fun, coz we juz sat tgt and chatted abt life, ppl in nus etc...




when night falls, we played with all the sparklers we bought!!!! wahahahha soooo fun!

i've long heard of Cafe Del Mar in sentosa, but nvr really had a chance to visit tat place... so tat day i dragged les along with me to sentosa to get some sun and check out the place...

aft so many weeks in USA, i almost forgot how much i love sentosa... we played with frisbee, suntanned and den visited cafe del mar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! anyway tat day's sun was SOOOOOOOOOO superb can! it's so hot, i totally love it... tho les couldnt stop complaining abt it ahhhaha...






doesnt the pool looked so inviting??????????? aft a few hrs of being under the sun and playing frisbee, all u'll wan to do is to jump into tat crystal clear mirage...

it's so huge, i think if u board the bus with this hat, everyone will dodge u...

and den a few days aft tat, i dragged my sis to sentosa again hahaha... muz make full use of the sunny days ma...






tho we didnt manage to tan for long, coz sunday afternoons at sentosa are full of stoopid bangla who cant stop ogling, and staring, and pretending to take photos of the sceneries when it's so darn obvious they're taking photos of the gers.

i went for the Singapore Petroleum Company dinner and dance with my aunt coz she worked there... got to noe some of her colleagues who was really really nice to talk to, of which one of them is an air stewardess who married a pilot who earned a few ten thousands a month!!!!!!!

gosh.

anyway it's almost 100% tat i'll get a job inside if i want to. but i dun want to. so oh wells, KIV i guess...

alot of the photos i took are with her colleagues, so the onli photo i have of the event is this.




the event was more fun den i tot. i expect a ballroom of ppl in their 30s who'll juz sit at their seats and faithfully finish every dish that comes their way, while talking abt office politics and their children. but wat i got was totally different fr tat!!!

a lot of them were dressed up in fairytale costumes, yes even the ppl in 30s or 40s... and they're all damn funny...the programme was goooodddd, lotsa fun games.

anyway aft tat i went to meet les for a nightcap.




erm i forgot wat it's called but there's a jug of milk there, so u're supposed to throw the chocolate pieces in to dissolve and mix it so tat it forms this wonderfully delicious chocolate drink hee...

and den drinks at CLINIC.




the ideas sporeans can come up with, seriously amaze me... having a pub with a hospital theme????? and it actually worked haha...




the IV drip idea was damn cool! we wanted to juz take photos with it coz it's so damn ex! it costs $50 for tat little packet of greenish gooey puke-like alcohol... it really does look kinda disgusting actually, but if i have the money i'll still buy it juz for the idea haha...

and there were these few tables whose seats are wheelchairs... it is damn hilarious when i saw this ang moh guy wheeling himself everywhere and laughing loudly at himself...

November is MY month!!!!!!!!! wahahha... or rather, OUR month, coz it's my bdae, followed by Les's bdae... and it's really nice to haf bdaes so close to each other... hee... plus we can get those "in ur bdae month" kinda discounts tgt haha...

as usual, my bdae celebrations always range from 1st nov all the way till end of dec... haha, which is damn shiok coz it made me feel like my bdae lasted for 2 months haha... coz of the exams lar tat's why...

so as usual too, the ROLEX peeps are the first to celebrate for me!

i was supposed to meet les at Vivo for dinner... so when he mentioned V'ilage for dinner, i was thinkin why not... altho he was acting kinda weirdly at certain times when we travelled fr sch to Vivo haha...

when we reached V'ilage, he led me directly to this nicely decorated room at the back of the restaurant... and wat do u get there, but a grp of frens beaming happily at me from their seats... hahah...




so we ate, and we talked... den we went to the Food Republic for some cheap drinks, where we met Jeremy... Thanks for the dress you guys!!! i love it!!!!

on my bdae itself, les had one whole day of activities lined up for me, and he called it "the Wanyun's day of Fun" which is hilarious and sweet at the same time... =))

thanks baby! we started off with badminton and tennis and i love it! coz there's nothing more fun den sports of coz... =)

i think we went for a movie aft tat before we proceeded down to Brewerks for some beer and mussels! he kept sayin he wanted to bring me there aft he ate there with his frens coz apparently the mussels are superb...




and they were!!!!! it's the best mussels i've ever eaten in spore... thanx baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and the sauce that came with it was really good, there was beer in the sauce, which made it even more tasty...




he den brought me to this "secret" place for dinner which he refused to let me noe, till we hop onto the cab there...




the place was sooooo nice!!!! to get to the restaurant fr the main road, u gotta walk thru tis path which was lined with little lights on the ground. it's like this secret dreamy place tucked in some corner at the end of the path...

i dun think the photo did justice to how nice the exterior of the cafe is like.




i only managed to take 2 photos before the waiter came over and told me not to take anymore haha... ooops... anyway he ordered this duck dish tat was really nice... if it wasnt becoz we were kinda broke aft the dinner, we would haf ordered the desserts coz they look so freaking tempting...

another day, i promise!!! =)

went to Ben&Jerrys at Dempsey Hill which is so much bigger den the other branches and with nicer decorations...




went back to his hall aft tat to receive my bdae presents!!!!

i'm so touched by the amt of efforts he put in... it's amazing how he could come up with so many new ideas for every single anniversary, every single occasion and every single bdaes...

I love you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and i really do appreciate all the effort u put in to make my presents... =)






i love polly pockets!!! when i was young, i was damn tomboyish and TOTALLY not feminine... it doesnt help tat the second child aft me is a guy, aka my brother... haha... i nvr play with dolls, in fact i hate them to the core...

they looked damn scary and freaky to me... every single doll others give me would be thrown into the storeroom without hesitation... i love playing with lego and cars and transformers and power rangers... wahahha...

BUT. i do love polly pockets. i love them to the core, which is a surprise to all my relatives and my parents haha...

and they have been like extinct for 15 years or something... i cant seem to find them anywhere... so i was supa supa SUPA happy tat les managed to find them for me!!!! =)) thanx baby...

the day after, les came to my hse to stay overnight and we decided to cook up a meal coz my family isnt home hee...




somehow he look so good when he's cooking hahaha...

aft 1hr plus of cutting and chopping and frying and grilling and mixing and stirring, we finally finished cooking our meal haha... i love doin such stuff with him...




i noe the photos dun exactly look good, but the food taste good!!!!! tat's an UP on culinary skills! haha... next time let's cook somethin even harder k! hee...

had dinner with the engin ppl at this place near paradiz center, ermmm cant rem wat that place is called, but it served nice and cheap western food... =)

went drinkin with them at Oosh at Dempsey Hill aft tat... Oosh is such an awesome place!!!!! it is possibly the largest restaurant/pub i've ever been to! it's so huge it can be divided into like 6 sections with each section having a diff theme... and it's damn nice!!!! go to the website and look at the photos, i promise u'll wanna go there aft tat too...








it was a nice outing all in all, talked abt many issues... many outings to come!

13th november marked the Linkin Park concert! which les has been looking forward to since forever... both our tickets are sponsored coz they're bdae gifts to us wahhahaha... seeeee wat i mean when it's a good thing to have bdaes so close to each other? hahaha...









we waited for like near an hr before the concert started... haix celebrities will always be celebrities... haha...




the concert was superb i tot! esp when it ended off with "Bleed It Out"! tat song got me damn high lar!!!!!!! and it's nice to see les so excited, coz we nearly missed out on the sale of tickets... we actually bought the tix off ebay coz they were all sold out...

which turned out to be a blessing in disguise coz we ended up paying onli $90 each for a $110 worth seat...

16th November - the day a star was born 23 years ago...


i had a whole day planned out for him too!!! and several gifts prepared too! haha... the started off with a surprise morning visit to his hall room...




first gift of the day: his birthday cake!

which is the most unique ever!!! i tot it would be really boring to have the same old cake for birthdays every yr, so i decided to get him another kind of cakes - CUPCAKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!




the cupcakes were from CUPCAKE MOMMA (anyone interested can get the website from me, they did such a good job, i think they deserved alittle advertising hee), but i customised all 16 for him...

2 cupcakes with music notes on them (for the music lover in him)
2 cupcakes with arsenal and soccer boots on them (for the soccer-craze in him)
2 cupcakes with both our faces on them (for the best r/s i've ever had)

i hope u like the cupcakes darling!
went down all the way to Kembangang in the morning to collect those cupcakes, coz the baker's bungalow is located there... but when i opened the box to look at the cupcakes, all i could think of was "everything was worth it!"... they all looked so SUPERB!

and les's smile when he opened up the box and saw the cupcakes, juz made me wanna do everything all over again... YOU are worth it baby! =)

and his 2nd gift of the day! a personalised Little Miss and Mr Men book, with pictures and storyline and dialogue all came up by me!!!! it's a gift tat took half a yr to complete... -_-'''




when he saw the book he kept really quiet... so quiet i tot he hated it... but den it turned out tat he was goin to make the same gift for me! it's somehow really sweet when u realise u and ur bf actually have the same present ideas... =)

and the 3rd gift of the day!




a shirt tat i knew he wanted but couldnt bear to spend money on... and the shirt suits him so much! there's a "GIRLS NEED LOVE TOO!!!" in pink! i want tat!!! wahahhaha...

we went out for dinner at Da Paolo Holland V restaurant, which i found out abt from online reviews... it was a surprise for him...






haha... i do feel ABIT out of place, coz everyone around us are expatriates and look like they've been there like hundreds of times alr... hee...




the pasta was sooooooooooo good okay!!!!!!!!! both pasta!!!! i'm craving for them everyday since i first managed to taste them... i dunno how they do it, but the pasta and the sauce are superbly delicious... there's a grocery store near the restaurant tat sell all the different pastas and sauces that they used in the restaurant itself... damn cool lar!

i'm definitely goin to go there again... and the ambience and service is superb too... and they won the Best Restaurant in Singapore for fine dining too...

went to Essential Brew after tat for some dessert...






got back to his hall before midnight so i could give him the last gift of the day, which happened to be the nicest too! hee...

his very own miniature wedding! with a mini music box at the side...

before i gave him the gift, i switched off all the lights and told him to close his eyes... when he opened his eyes, these were wat greeted him...

the day after, me and the rolex ppl planned a surprise dinner for him, but it was really hard for me to act nonchalant coz tat stoopid guy keep askin me questions abt why we've to go waraku, why muz book, why i not sure wat time my booking is... -_-'''






i showed them my new T70 camera!!! and we were fiddling with it... it's funny how amazed they were at the smile shutter function in the camera haha...

at nite, i came home to a new member of the family...
