i'm back fr YMCA camp!!!!!!

and i tell u, it's the most fantastic experience i've ever had!!!! (aside from USA WAT of course).

anyway it's a camp for the physically and intellectually disabled ppl. so basically we're the camp facilitators, and each of us is paired up with a buddy (i.e. the physically and intellectually disabled).

and we'll do camp-like stuff, like ice-breakers, games, cheers, water sports, high elements games, campfire, night walk etc.

and the feeling i get after this camp is so awesome.
i actually took 4 days of leave off work to do this and it's totally worth it.

i made a bunch of really great frens. they're the fellow volunteers in the same grp as me, and all of them are so kindhearted and nice and so willing to give. and i really love camps alot. and to be able to go for a camp and help the needy at the same time, i think signing up for this camp is one of the best decisions i've ever made in my life.

initially i was still very apprehensive about it, coz i signed up for this camp alone and i've never really had much experience with intellectually disabled ppl, and also i didnt noe if i'll be able to click with the other volunteers. but i ended up not only making really great frens there, there's also this really great feeling of self-fulfillment inside me when my buddy (an intellectually disabled guy fr Bishan Home) gave me a really tight hug and tear-ed when he left.

i cant wait for my grp volunteers to organise an outing. and i cant wait for the next YCAMP!
yes, i'm definitely going for the next one.
