and so as promised, the first installation of the crazy crazy Dec hols!

every year, i never fail to go to orchard just to look at the xmas lightings and to soak up the xmas atmosphere... it doesnt even matter if i've to squeeze and squirm with the crowd (even though i noe Les and alot of my frens dun like it). i grew up loving crowds and noise and lights.

every single time i reach home, i'll switch on all the lights in the living room and any other lights possible to make the whole house damn bright. i hate gloominess.
when i study, i cant go to too-quiet-a-place because i cant concentrate. on the contrary, no matter how noisy the place is, i'll be able to concentrate really well. i studied my way to A levels in KAP. hahha...
crowds. i love them. bring them on. every festive season, i'm always pestering les to bring me to crowded places, like Orchard, like countdown parties, like pubs. of coz, he'll never bring me to a countdown party, he's scared i'll get molested -_-'''

okay, i think i made my point. haha...

we started off at Heeren!




nothing spectacular, but a good start at that... actually we went in, coz he needed to use the toilet lar hahha...

then there was this floats parade along Orchard road. cool la!




too bad i only managed to take photos of one float. there were so many ppl trying to get to the front to take photos. and by the time i managed to rummage thru my bag for the camera, it's the last float alr... -_-'''

dinner was at Shokudu (or is it Shoduku?)... one of our fav places haaz...
i have no idea why ppl complained abt the food there... i seriously and sincerely think they're really nice...

of coz there must always be salmon sashimi... hee...
we had macha ice-cream too! my fav flavor!

then it was photowhoring of the xmas lights along Orchard...

it looks so festive and so cheery... just looking at them makes me so happy.
even looking at the photos now make me happy...

the ambience is so good over there, with the crowds and the xmas music playing and ppl cheering and the lights. it makes me feel like everything's going to be good and well in this world.

and i tell u, this year's xmas at orchard totally rocks my socks. there were so many stalls there and there's a dance performance and choir caroling, and so many xmas-related booths... and everyone's wearing xmas hats and walking along the streets... totally fantastic lar!




so cute! i love it! and the best thing is, u get it when u donate $5 to charity! the little hat is now sitting on the top of my soft toy... haha... maybe next year i'll bring it out for xmas again hee...

anyway i brought that hat to every single xmas party i went to. u'll see, in other photos that i'm goin to upload haha...

then there were these cute cuddly cartoon characters just standing there, letting u take photos with them. it's free lar, of coz =)



i couldnt resist haha... i could see the amused look on Lester's face when he took for me lor.. bleah! ask him to take also, he dont want. stoopid old man... hahaha...

and these 2 women seriously look damn scary to me...




look at her face, omg, it looks freaky. i noe this is supposed to be like a street performance, and i'm supposed to learn to appreciate it. but still, with that kinda makeup, i think i'll get a heart attack if i see her late at nite...

then les brought me to Taka to look at the humongous xmas tree there!




every year, i told him i wan the huge star at the top of the tree, every year i still dun get it. haha




that little hat on his shoulder looks damn weird lar... but he refused to put it on his head coz he said it'll make his hair look ugly.... -_-'''
