usually parties with Rolex were held at my house, but this year we decided to have a change of venue! also coz Les has a xmas tree at his house, so it actually makes more sense to hold it there haha...

so after my xmas party with the RV ppl the night before, i made my way straight to Les' house to help prepare the food! so my parents actually didnt see me for 2 nights straight. oops!

we actually have a rough xmas menu in mind:
1) skewers with cocktail sausages and pineapples etc (u get the idea) 2) turkey with stuffings! 3) potato salad 4) Les's hashbrown casserole 5) Log cake
and so we started buying all the groceries in the late afternoon and cooking all the above. it was sooo fun okay! to be able to prepare a xmas feast together =))

and the second is the turkey that his mom kindly sponsored us for, from NTUC. it's actually not as expensive as i expect it to be. and it tastes pretty nice! well, of coz not as nice as chicken thighs. it tastes more like chicken breasts. but still, what is christmas without some turkey meat eh... hee...




and i made my potato salad! of coz i added more stuff in. it's not just potatoes, there's green peppers and tuna and bacon bits too! and i placed a bowl of fresh butterhead next to it coz salad without vegetables just feel weird. as much as les insisted that potato salad is not supposed to have any greens in it. it's supposed to be just potatoes. haha...




and his specialty dish - hashbrown casserole!



it's damn nice lar!!!! trust me, i'm not exaggerating. and this is the first time i'm eating something liddat too. easy to make also.

and so ta-da! an entire table of christmas feast!



the Rolex ppl came about 15mins later, so for that 15mins me and les were just hungrily sitting there and staring at the food. -_-'''
oh we did kop some of it hahaha...






the food was soooo good!!!!!!!! and it's a very christmasy kinda meal which i really really like!
it feels really heart-warming, to be sitting in my boyfren's house with him and my close frens, enjoying a christmas feast that me and my bf prepared together, with the xmas tree there belting out xmas songs. =)

then, jun had to leave early because she has a flight to catch later the same night haha... so we did the gift exchange!




because we used this online site called "secret santa", no one actually knew who's giving them. and the site is pretty good lar, u enter everyone's email add, and they'll randomly pair ppl up, and email the secret santa to let him/her know who he/she is supposed to buy gift for.

this way u can customize the gift and still keep everything a surprise!




he bought me this 4-leaf clover accessory which is supposed to bring me luck in everything i do! =)




i bought this "Parker" pen which i know he wants coz he needs a relatively expensive pen everytime he goes out to meet clients. and this was so out of the max budget we had set. so he BETTER use it! haha...




and before Jun left, we took some photos together...




and then these ppl started to play with my and Les's little xmas hats. see!!!! i told u i'll bring the hat to every xmas outing i go to... haha...




aft finishing all the food (and yes, we nearly finished all of them! so amazing our appetites haha), we started on the Wii!!!!! shioks lar... eat alr, then start burning fats...




luckily he had 4 controllers and we only have 5 ppl there...
first game up was a racing game!

it's pretty obvious who's winning and who's not huh... hahaha...



and i look really stoopid here lar...



seriously 4 hours of Wii could have killed lor... just the mere shaking of the controller, and tryin to do that as fast as possible, makes my arms ache damn much lar. even going to gym doesnt have this effect on me -_-'''

then, poker!!!!!! i havent played this for the longest time alr...




then finally it was log cake!




also from NTUC, but i tell u, this is good shit manz... the log cake tastes damn nice lar!
if i didnt noe, i wouldnt have guessed it's fr ntuc...

all the ravenous greedy ppl here...




then we just sat around and chatted with our log cakes... drank alcohol... i think just this night alone prob made me put on 1 or 2 kg -_-''

i actually think i played too much in those 2 weeks. because now i'm having serious probs tryin to get into the working mood again. and i feel bored so easily recently.

even though i've been going out with frens alot... somehow it's just the same old thing, with different ppl. there're so many things i wanna do...

like, going JB to do something to my hair and just spend the whole day shopping and eating cheap seafood.
like, going east coast in the morning to cycle in the morning breeze and then walk along the beach in the afternoon and eating good east-side food for dinner.
like, going sentosa on a weekday afternoon and lazing around the beach without having to jostle with the weekend beach-goers.
like, going for cheap afternoon ktv that comes with lunch.
like, lazing around at home and going to the gym and a swim.

but you know what, all these are to be done on weekdays. and 2 weekends a week is not enough.

and times like this, i really really hate working and i really really miss schooling.
it has been 8 months. and still, i miss it so much. 6 months back (and 2 months into working life), i tot maybe with time, this yearning for schooling life will be gone.

but now 6 months later, it's still there and as strong as ever.


i'm sorry, but this is my only outlet for me to complain about work.

i cant complain to friends or boyfriend because ppl outside my company wun understand my company dynamics and the stress that comes with handling millions and billions of dollars (i know some ppl will go "wow" at this. but trust me, it's NOT fun and there's NOTHING wow-ing about it. AT ALL.).
i cant complain to parents because they'll start asking alot of questions and giving me the "oh-no-my-daughter-is-so-stressed-up-now-how" look and i'll feel worse than ever actually.
and i cant complain to my colleagues coz it'll make me look so useless.

sighs, 2009 is starting off pretty bleak...
i think the night is making me moody, i need to sleep.
